FLLE (K-3rd grade)

What is FLL Explore?

FLL (FIRST Lego League) is a worldwide program that teaches STEM to children with an engaging, hands-on, team-oriented approach. Students solve engineering challenges and develop research skills by building a unique robot and developing solutions to real-world problems. At the end of the season, students celebrate their work and earn awards at a festival with teams from other schools.

For the 2025-2026 school year, Royal Oak Robotics will provide a FIRST Lego League Explore program for kindergarten through third grade. This program will introduce engineering, software, and teamwork concepts to participants in a non-competitive, project-based setting. The students will use Legos to design and build. Kids who’ve previously played with Legos will feel right at home, but those that haven’t are also welcome and will learn quickly. For more information about FIRST Lego League Explore, visit the FIRST website.
